Snow line is beginning to crash into parts of central Kentucky. The rate of snow will pick-up this evening and into the overnight. Some of these snow bands could produce 1"-2" per hour at times.
A Muhlenburg County mother says it's unbelievable. Her 10 year old son was arrested because of her unpaid bill.
Police took Timmy Stephens into custody at his elementary school. His mother, Amy Mercer, owed money to another parent after her son got into a fight with a 9 year old student.
Mercer had agreed to pay the medical bills, but fell behind on payments. Still, she says she doesn't know why police would arrest her son. She says police have not been about to answer that question. Meantime, Mercer says her son is afraid to go to school and she doesn't know how to explain to him why he was taken to jail.
The judge who issued the arrest warrant for Stephens could not be reached for comment.
