Delay In Double Murder Case

The man arrested in a Lincoln County double murder was supposed to have another court hearing today, but it didn't happen.

The suspect turned himself in to State Police Sunday and was arraigned in juvenile court Tuesday because he was a teenager when Bo Upton and Ryan Shangraw were killed 6 years ago.

Friday morning a judge issued a letter to the media stating that the suspect's case is heading to the grand jury in adult court. That means that the suspect will not be in front a judge again until at least May, more likely in June.

The lawyer for the defendant also stated the judge has issued what is essentially a gag order, preventing lawyers from talking about the details of the case

The prosecutor says it could be several more weeks before other arrests are made, depending on the outcome of the remaining investigation.
