Mine Blowout Causes Flooding

Dozens of people are out of their homes in Eastern Kentucky after a mine blowout.

Somehow an abandoned mine in the Kimper community of Pike County gave way. It spewed thousands of gallons of water. The flooding caused rocks and debris to cover parts of Highway 194.
Firefighters evacuated 50 people they were taken to a shelter at a nearby church.
We're told the mine hasn't been in operation since 1995, water had been collecting in the mine since then.
