Man arrested for 2010 Lexington murder

Updated: Fri 11:48 PM, Dec 07, 2012

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Nearly two years after a man was shot to death outside a nightclub, Lexington Police say they've now made an arrest in the case.

On Friday, police charged 31-year-old Kenneth Wadkins with murder.

Police say Wadkins killed Rocardo Cole outside Camelot West on Alexandria Drive in December 2010.

Wadkins has been lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center.

No one had been arrested for the murder, until Friday.

"My heart beat so hard I could feel it in my chest. Like boom boom. And it was just like a blessing. Prayers being answered. Prayers being answered," said Cole's grandmother Ella Cole.

"Once this is over and he's officially sentenced and all of that, then maybe then when I close my eyes and I think about Tezzy and I dream about him it'll be different."
