LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (AP) - A central Kentucky man serving 29 years for murdering a woman has been sentenced to 40 years for killing two others.
Rodney Bixler, a 39-year-old from Lawrenceburg, will serve the three sentences concurrently after being sentenced on Friday.
Anderson Circuit Judge Charles Hickman handed down a pair of 20 year sentences in the murders in 2000 of Thelma Cornett and Heather Wright.
Bixler is currently serving a 29-year sentence for the October 2000 strangling death of Daisy Whitaker, 67, a Wal-Mart cashier who was found in the bathtub of her home in Lawrenceburg.
