Strong winds knock down Georgetown Christmas tree

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WKYT) - The strong winds that blew into the Bluegrass Thursday night knocked down the city of Georgetown's Christmas tree.

The tree fell onto part of a car, parked outside the Scott County Courthouse, around 9 p.m.

The car's owner was able to drive off, but as of 11 p.m., the tree was still on the ground.

Some of the lights and ornaments on the tree scattered all over the ground after the tree fell.

No one was injured in the fall.

There's no word on whether the car was damaged by the tree.
