Large water main break causing problems on Lexington road

Posted: Sat 5:12 PM, Jan 05, 2013

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Crews are working to repair a large water main that broke along Tates Creek Road Saturday afternoon.

Because of the break, one lane of outbound Tates Creek Road has been closed between Providence Road and Cooper Drive.

Investigators think the age of the pipes, and the frozen ground, both played roles in the break.

Crews tell WKYT they expect to be working on repairs well into Saturday evening.
