Man killed in motorcycle crash on Interstate 75 in Scott County

SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A Boone County man was killed Wednesday night when police say his motorcycle crashed on Interstate 75.

The crash happened just before 7 p.m. in the northbound lanes around mile marker 143, north of Georgetown.

Kentucky State Police say a 56-year-old man was riding his motorcycle, when he went off the road and hit an embankment.

He was taken to a Grant County hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police say the motorcycle rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The man's name has not been released.
