Hillary Clinton was busy Thursday trying to convince voters in West Virginia, but she was also at work in the Bluegrass state. The senator once again sent her daughter, Chelsea, to campaign for her.

Chelsea's first stop on Thursday was to speak to a group in Lexington.

Later in the day, she traveled to Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond. There, she spoke to a crowd of about 400 people. She talked about a broad range of issues including financing for higher education, health care and immigration. Clinton also took questions from the audience.

Clinton supporter, Lettie Dixon, had the opportunity to ask Chelsea about the war in Iraq. "We need to stand behind someone who is ready to bring our troops home", she said.

Her final stop of the day was in Frankfort where she helped open her mother's campaign headquarters in that city.

This isn't Chelsea Clinton's first visit to Kentucky. She spoke at UK and U of L last month. She was also at the Kentucky Derby in Louisville to help her mother campaign.

I wouldn't vote for Hillary or Obama. Neither of them have told us how they would improve the country. Heck after they took control of congress is when the economy went down.

Posted by: KJ Location: Richmond on May 12, 2008 at 10:55 AM
Amen Salute!!!!!!!!!!! It is about respect. At least Hillary does show respect for our country and the men and women that are over serving.

Posted by: SALUTE on May 11, 2008 at 10:34 PM
ITS NOT ABOUT THE STUPID FLAG PIN,ITS ABOUT RESPECT FOR OUR LOVED ONES FIGHTING AND DEFENDING THIS COUNTRY THAT FLIES THAT FLAG FOR THEM SO LETS SO THEM RESPECT HUM....THEY ARE THE WINNERS SO LETS BRING THEM HOME AND WHO DONT FEEL THE SAME ABOUT THE FLAG TAKE THEIR PLACE

This is to WOW in Richmond: Guess what you have stuck your big foot in your mouth because I do have a college degree plus. Yes I will be voting for Hillary. I do not care if it is over a flag pin, why will he not place his hand over his heart during the pledge, that his wife stated that she was proud to be an American once in her life and sitting in the same church for 20 years and opps I didn't realize my minister was prejudice!!! I can not believe that people are actually falling for the things this man is telling people. Because I do have a college education is why I am smart enough to not fall for Obamas stupid line about we need a change and then never specifies what kind of change he is referring to. So next time before you start saying that it is the uneducated that are voting for her you should stop and think. Also my whole family will be voting for her and yes they are also college graduates. Go Hillary!

Well to Berea resident they would not be losing their homes if your big liberal pals would quit loaning money to people that cant pay it back if i cant pay for something i am not going to borrow it gees what nuts.

Posted by: Mark Location: Loretto on May 11, 2008 at 02:35 PM
I hope that she takes her father some of our famous Makers Mark cigars, I happen to know that he likes them.

Is this all the people we can get to run for president what a joke these are three clowns running how pathetic what we need is a Reagan if we had one the election would be over all i can say is go operation chaos.

Posted by: Wow Location: RIchmond on May 10, 2008 at 11:03 PM
@anyone Location: Ky Did you know that whites without a college education are 39% more likely to vote Hillary? Now do you understand why you cant understand why Obama wont bother with such foolish tactics as why he wont wear a stupid flag pin? Yes its all about a stupid flag pin he wont wear. More stupid Bush tactics from Hillary.

i think we should throw JACK in of will&grace into the presidents race and we will have one heck of monday night sitcom.good luck AMERICA,to who ever gets it will take them 8 terms to fix some of our problems

Posted by: anyone Location: Ky on May 10, 2008 at 01:40 PM
This is to all of you people that are planning on voting for Obama: How could you in your right mind vote for this man? Do you realize that he has not even completed one term as a senetor? Do you know that he will not even answer questions about his lack ofpatriotism on Meet The Press? Also do you know he will not respond to the comment made by his wife about having only once in her life having been proud to be an American after receivieng a free education to an Ivy League school? His color of his skin has nothing to do with this. There are many people that would be better for the job. Also his holding a dual citizenship with Kenya and the USA does pose a problem for me. In no way is Obama ready to be president of the USA he has not proven his commetement to the USA. Also the fact that he attended the same church for 20 years and did not know his minister was prejudice? Come on people wake up!!!! Go Hillary

Posted by: Big teefies on May 10, 2008 at 10:39 AM
I feel your pain, vote for Mc Cain.

Posted by: Wow Location: Richmond on May 9, 2008 at 11:50 PM
Hillary just pretty much lost the race and her campaigns broke even htough she went taboo and spent her own cash. YAY rejoice register and vote Obama people. @Berea Resident Location: Berea You forget things like white water and the dot com collapse. You forget he gave nuke power tech to china? They are why gas costs more today they consume more daily and compete with US for gas to make you kids lead painted toys. @Hmmmm Location: Kitchen Look at Chelsys chin and a few other features around her face. She used to have Bills chin.

Posted by: Eddy Location: Eddyville on May 9, 2008 at 09:56 PM
To Berea Resident: I'm sure the unemployment thing is ALL the Republicn's fault. Has absolutely NOTHING to do with illegals. If one of your socqalist dumbocrats gets elected, I'll expect gas prices to drop to $2 a gallon the next day...that sound about right?

Posted by: Eddie Location: Pike on May 9, 2008 at 09:09 PM
Berea, remember, the "Dot com" bubble burst under Clinton, the Democratic gains in the House and Senate coincided with rising gas prices, we have numerous judgeships left unfilled (which have to be confirmed in the House and Senate), etc. Also, I see that the jobless rate declined sharply in figures released just this week. Clinton was the beneficiary of an economic uptick that occurred on the BUSH watch. I believe the retail sales are beginning to take off, seasonal hiring flunctuations have leveled out, and so on, so I believe we are getting ready to see an uptick economically. Of course, if the tree-hugging Dems would be more agreeable to allowing us to drill for oil in Alaska, we could alleviate our dependance on foreign oil. A president can only do so much when he is being fought at every turn by the opposing party, bills have to actually reach him in order to be signed or vetoed.

Posted by: anyone Location: Madison on May 9, 2008 at 07:23 PM
Yes we need HILLARY in office. I can not even begin to tell you how scarry it would be if Obama get in office. The man is a snake in the grass. He will not answer a direct question-he would not debate Hillary in NC-Why, because he is afraid of the truth coming out and that is what the Republicans want. They want to see him nominated so they can beat him in Nov. because all of his secrets will come out of the closet then. His dual citizenship with the US and Kenya as well as his lack of patriotism for the USA. Go HILLARY!!!!

Posted by: KJ Location: KENTUCKY_GO HILLARY on May 9, 2008 at 07:18 PM
This is to Victoria in WVA: Are you seriously saying that someone should actually vote for Osama Obama? Please what are you thinking? The man will not even answer questions about his lack of patriotism or his wife having stated only proud to be an American once in her life? Going to the same church and hearing the same man preach for 20 years and not know the man was predjudice? You have got to be kidding me!! He has not even finished one term as a senotor and you think he has enough experience to run our country? What are you thinking?! There is no way I would vote for the man!! My vote will be going to HILLARY!! If Hillary does not get the nomination then McCain I will vote for but not Barack HUSSIEN Obama. He will not answer a direct question about patriotism posed to him on MEET THE PRESS about his lack of patriotism. Is this not a problem? YES!!!

Posted by: mj Location: lex on May 9, 2008 at 04:00 PM
Hillary just "lent" her campaign 6.7 million dollars. I wonder if she will pay herself back.

Posted by: Berea Resident Location: Berea on May 9, 2008 at 03:24 PM
To all you Clinton bashers, I invite you to take a look back at the economy during the first Clinton era. We had a thriving economy and job security and reasonable gas prices. Now, the unemployment rate is climbing as fast as the price of gas. All of the factories in the area a struggling and laying off and people are losing their homes. So thank you to the republicans for that. Hillary has plans to help those of us that struggle.

Posted by: Sandra Location: Berea on May 9, 2008 at 11:27 AM
Doesn't Chelsea have a job or even have to work. Oh, I forgot she doesn't have too. They have 100 million in the bank over that past 6-7 years. Maybe time to load up the truck and head to Beverly.

Posted by: steve Location: irvine on May 9, 2008 at 10:49 AM
Chelsea Clinton went to Iraq to talk to the soldiers and she was standing there and she asked Mr soldier are you afraid of anything? The soldier replied yea Chelsea its Osama Obama and your Mama. McCain is not much better but he sure will be better than these socialist nuts. And yes thank you liberal run house and senate for doing nothing for gas prices bravo. Hey maybe pump some oil uh? maybe build some a refinery and look for our own oil and tell these Opec goons to go to hell. But the biggest problem is liberalism let them in charge and they will destroy this country.

Posted by: Hmmmm Location: Kitchen on May 9, 2008 at 10:28 AM
What plastic surgery? Where? Nose? What? Just curious. GO OBAMA!!!!!

Posted by: Long Time Democrat Location: Lex on May 9, 2008 at 10:25 AM
McCain, Hillary and Obama are not even close to what we need in the White House. McCain comes closest due to his ability to cross party lines, but then again, he still likes a lot of Bush's ideas. Hillary feels it is her birth right to be President and Obama...well, he has too many unanswered questions looming over his head. Plus being a one term (that's not even up yet) senator that has basically done nothing. I enjoy the Bush tax breaks, but I hate the war. I just wish for once we wouldn't have to vote for the lesser of the evil(s). And yes, this has become a primary based on race whether you agree or not. Pretty sad situation we are in.

Posted by: girl talk Location: ly on May 9, 2008 at 09:00 AM
go Hillary all the way to the white house to be our president.thats my girl.

If anyone really cares about this country and the shape it is getting in . Everyone better wake up and face the facts. Hillary is the only candidate that can get the country in better shape. Please don't be fooled or taken advantage of by a muslim. We have to live in this Country. So do the right thing. Vote for someone who can and will help us all. Please vote for Hillary!

WOW! Now I can see what a great job our universities and colleges are doing training our children: filling them full of political BS and hatred for liberals.

Posted by: Teresa Burnette Location: Monticello on May 8, 2008 at 09:29 PM
I am from Monticello Ky. and I am not ashamed to tell anyone who I will be voting for. Not that it matters to anyone anyway but Mrs.Clinton will be getting my vote my husband and my oldest sons vote and this will be my sons first election and I am very proud to say he will be voting for the first woman president of the United States. And I'm sure there are more people that would agree with me and vote the same way.

Posted by: blah blah blah Location: kentucky on May 8, 2008 at 06:04 PM
Give the girl a break! But vote for John[sure dont need another Clinton back in office]McCAIN ALL THE WAY

Posted by: Victoria Location: Huntington, West Virginia on May 8, 2008 at 05:28 PM
Mrs. Clinton has run a nasty divisive campaign.Only ego and narcissism are keeping her in the race. Voters in Kentuky and West Virginia should vote for the best person- and who is actually already the nominee:Senator Obama.

Posted by: kymom on May 8, 2008 at 04:41 PM
The whole family can go back to wherever they came from for all I'm concerned. I wouldn't cross the street to see or hear none of them...

Posted by: James Location: Wellington on May 8, 2008 at 04:37 PM
Another Clinton not Bill gave the jobs to other countries with a treaty ( Called NAFTA )

Posted by: Robin on May 8, 2008 at 04:36 PM
McCain would be a great choice if we want to have another 4 years of George Bush. If it takes choosing Hillary or Obama (God help us) to get our sons and daughters back from Iraq and our economy in a better condition then thats what we should do...

Posted by: Anonymous Location: stanton on May 8, 2008 at 04:13 PM
yea me to go McCain i already love giving 3.75 for gas, to all keep up the good work with the facts thats how this country is known for all the info.

Posted by: dawn Location: powell on May 8, 2008 at 02:49 PM
give the girl a break if she didnt make a effort then u cry so what about the plastic surgery u can bet our tax dollars didnt buy it and if you ask her how much gas was like the one that took her daddys place she could tell you.and if she was with her parents all the time that would be creeepy;

Posted by: mj Location: Lex on May 8, 2008 at 01:54 PM
All I can say is "go McCain".

Posted by: Anonymous on May 8, 2008 at 01:41 PM
Red - I'm not a fan of the Clintons, but check your facts - the pastor accused of child molestation was a pastor in Clinton, NY, NOT the pastor of the Bill & Hillary. Unfortunately, someone got the two confused and it has spread like wildfire across the internet. Seems odd to me, I work on EKU's campus & I didn't hear anything about Chelsea Clinton stopping here until about 30 minutes ago when I saw the Progress announcement that it had been postponed until 1:45 p.m. You'd think they would have at least given better notice so any student who wanted to attend would be able to.

Posted by: Wow Location: RIchmond on May 8, 2008 at 02:23 AM
Owe great we get a plastic surgery victim, insignifigant ex presidents daughter in richmond. After all shes such an expert that we should listen to her. Shes even told a talk show host her moms too busy she calls dad when she needs help.
