Guilty Plea In Pulaski County Dog Mauling Case

Their dogs attacked a neighbor causing injuries so serious Dorothy Chevalier still bears the scares.

The two people in the care of the dogs that attacked Chevalier last October pleaded guilty to the charge of harboring a vicious animal. Thursday we learn one of them will be serving time in jail for the charge.

Tim Sears and Tammy Chambers entered the pleas Thursday morning in district court. Part of the plea deal states that both will pay $1,000 in restitution to the victim. The county attorney says because Tim Sears was the owner of the dogs that attacked Chevalier, he will be serving 10 days in jail.

Chevalier suffered horrific injuries that still requires monthly treatments in Lexington and Somerset. Sears will only have to spend time in jail on weekends as part of the deal and must report to jail on May 16Th.

Both boxers involved in the attack have been put down at the owners' request.
