RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - Police say Facebook helped them catch the suspect in a violent shoplifting.

Richmond Police had been looking for 32-year-old William Taylor for a month.

They say on December 15, he stole $79 worth of merchandise from Kroger, and shoved an employee who confronted him.

When Richmond Police put pictures of Taylor on their Facebook page, police say they received many tips that led them to him.

Police arrested Taylor on Turpin Drive Friday.

He's been charged with robbery.
