Freezing temperatures last week had many farmers across the bluegrass on edge. Some crops only suffered minor damage, while others suffered a near total loss.

Evans Orchard was fortunately spared from the late freeze. The orchard boasts of apples, oranges, blueberries, and strawberries, to name a few.

Heaters were put in the orchard the night of the freeze. Temperatures of 28-degrees and below are the threshold for fruits.

However, the grape crop at Chrisman Mill Vineyards and Winery suffered major damage.

Mary McKee, part-owner of Chrisman Mill Winery, says, "This is total devastation. All the grape clusters are gone and the leaves are not coming back.

The late freeze caused the vineyard to lose nearly half of this year's grape crop.
