GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WKYT) - Police say they need the public's help finding the man behind a violent shoplifting that injured a store clerk.

Georgetown Police say it happened Wednesday at Georgetown Shoes.

Police say the man grabbed a pair of boots and left the store without paying for them.

As the clerk tried to stop him, police say the man hit her in the face, then showed a knife, and threatened to cut her throat.

Police also say the suspect had tattoos of the word "evil" on his fingers, and what appeared to be ninja throwing stars on the back of his hands.

Georgetown Police also released a picture of the suspect.
