Man convicted of manslaughter in death of co-worker

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A jury has convicted a man accused of killing a former co-worker and setting his body on fire.

According to the Fayette Commonwealth Attorney's office, a Fayette County jury found Sidney Williams, Jr. guilty of manslaughter, evidence tampering, and abuse of a corpse.

He had been charged with murder.

The jury recommended a 35 year prison sentence.

In 2010, Lexington Police say Williams killed 39-year-old Victor Martin. The victim's body was found outside a farm on Russell Cave Road.
