We all know that gas prices are going sky high, for a number of reasons we can't control.

But, according to new information released by AAA, there is one factor consumers can control. It's paying with cash instead of credit.

According to AAA, everytime you pay with credit or debit the card company gets a percentage of the gas station's profits. In order for the gas station to balance its books, the price of gas is raised. It goes up an average of 8 cents a gallon.

The experts say, this extra charge could all be alleviated if gas constomers paid with cash.
