Alcohol Ruled Out As Cause In Deadly Bus Crash

Alcohol has now been ruled out as a factor in a school bus crash that killed a Pendleton County student.

The county's sheriff now says alcohol tests on both the bus driver and the driver of the dump truck that hit the bus came back negative.

Investigators are still waiting on drug tests and accident reconstruction results.

The crash, near Falmouth on May first, killed 16-year-old Daniel Wood. Police say the dump truck crossed the center line on Highway 22, hitting the bus.

Several other children on the bus had to be treated for minor injuries.

No charges have been filed in the case, but wood's parents are now suing the trucking company.
