Gas Prices Prompt Lawn Care Services To Issue Surcharge

By  |

Nearly all equipment used in the lawn and landscape business relies on fuel to run. Soon, customers may have to pay the price.

Some lawn care businesses have already issued a surcharge for their services. Now, if a customer wants a professional service done, they will have to help pay for the gas used.

Chris Trower, of Diamond Landscape, says, "I think you'll see the prices of a lot of goods and services go up that are related to gasoline. They're going to have to go up just to cover that cost. It's frustrating."

Diamond Landscape hopes to alleviate some gas cost by mapping transportation routes. They are also looking into electric cars that use less gas for the future.
