Golden Alert issued for missing Knox County man

KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A Golden Alert has been issued for a man emergency officials say hasn't been seen since Friday morning.

The Knox County Dispatch Center says 49-year-old Curtis Gambrel walked away from his home on Highway 223 in Flat Lick around 8:30 a.m.

At the time, emergency officials say Gambrel was wearing black trousers, a t-shirt of an unknown color, and slippers.

They describe Gambrel as a white man, 5'9", 170 pounds, with a medium build, blue eyes, a bald head, and no facial hair.

Emergency officials have not yet released a picture of Gambrel.

Anyone who sees Gambrel is asked to call the Knox County Dispatch Center at 606-546-3510.
