PINER, Ky. (AP) - Police say a northern Kentucky woman has died
after her pickup truck collided with a school bus.

The bus wasn't carrying any students at the time of the crash Wednesday afternoon, but The Kentucky Enquirer reports the school bus driver and a bus monitor suffered minor injuries.

Capt. Darrin Gilvin of Kenton County Police says 37-year-old Catherine Shumaker was killed. Gilvin says a passerby dragged Shumaker from the truck before it caught fire.

The newspaper says bus driver Randy Rump and monitor Gayle Lawson were taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center South.
