A western Kentucky high school senior faces charges after police say he raped another student in a classroom.

The Kentucky New Era reports 18-year-old Gabriel Ladson was arrested Monday, shortly after the alleged incident at Hopkinsville High School.

Police say he forced a 15-year-old student to have sex with him in a band practice room between classes.

Ladson is charged with rape and sodomy. He pleaded not guilty.

What would have happened in this case if it was a willing 15 yr old boy & 18 yr old girl ! ! Nothing.... Just something to think about ! ! !

CUT IT OFF!!! I bet he won't do it again then! If he's already raping people at age 18, he's got a great life of crime to look forward to. Maybe we should do the world a favor and lock him up until he's too old to get out of the house anymore without a walker, then let him out.

I think it is a shame when a 15 or 16 year old girl is all over a boy 18 or 19 and they have sex. Then she cries rape. The age is irrelevant when it involves a 15 or older girl. She knows better. In my opinion when it is consentual it is not rape.If it is a case of willing to do it, it is stat-rape. There is a difference.I also said in my comment if you would re-read it...If it was rape prosecute his (edited) to the fullest. I think some people on here just like to argue.

EVERYONE THAT HAS COMMENTED HAS SAID THAT THE VICTIM WAS A "GIRL". IT COULD HAVE BEEN A "BOY" VICTIM. BEING THE PERPETRATOR IS 18 AND THE VICTIM IS 15. NOW HE WOULD BE CONSIDERED AS A CHILD RAPIST. DONT WORRY ABOUT HIM " BUBBA " WILL TAKE GOOD CARE OF HIM.

ONCE A RAPIST, ALWAYS A RAPIST!

"Richard Noggin"...ah yes, Soccer Mom, that is really appropriate for comment on a case like this. I assume you are a woman.

Posted by: Zatoichi Location: Richmond on May 23, 2008 at 09:29 AM
Soccer Mom, You are misunderstanding the intent of my message. If you read a lot of comments posted there is a trend to give these perpetrators another chance..because they are deprived or just don't understand wright and wrong. The Mackey case in Scott county is another case where the perpetrators is being cast as a "victim" of society as well.

If the victim was 15, it doesn't matter if it was consensual or not, she is a MINOR! HELLO??

Posted by: Soccer Mom Location: Ky. on May 23, 2008 at 07:20 AM
Zatoichi, there's some more of that backwoods narrow-minded thinking again. This is not the place to bring up politics, there's another board for those comments. Stop presenting yourself as a "Richard Noggin" (Think about that name) This boy needs to pay for what he did to this girl, I'm assuming it's a girl. He needs to be punished. My prayers are with the victim and her family. Things like this can ruin a girls life, there should be no room for forgivness!!!

In Kentucky, a man cannot "rape" another man. The way the law is worded it is penetration of the vagina. In the case of a male on male sexual assault, it would be Sodomy 1st. I can't get into the details here, but check the law and you will understand. http://www.lrc.ky.gov/search.htm

He deserves another chance...he voted for Obama.

Okay, so it does not say if the student victim was male or female. Not that it matters, either way, it was rape, but still. WKYT....you need to do better reporting........

The first thing that I do is go look at their MySpace page. You can tell a lot about a person by looking there.

I HAVE BEEN TOLD THEY WILL HAVE S** IN THE BATHROOMSI KNOW WHEN I WAS A KID IN MIDDLE SCHOOL THIS WAS THE LAST THING ON MY MIND! PLEASE PARENTS STRESS TO YOUR KIDS TO WAIT UNTIL MARRIAGE. HAVING SEX IS NOT COOL, LOOK AT THE OUTCOME. I PRAY THAT THINGS WILL WORK OUT FOR MY SON IN MIDDLE SCHOOL.

What's to say the person being raped was not a willing participant and only wanted to get this boy in trouble. Ideas for teens come from others doing the same things. This was just reported in Lincoln Co. I'd say thats where the idea came from.If it was rape then the boy is 18.....prosecute to the fullest!
