Some Kentucky soldiers will arrive back home Thursday afternoon after nine months in Iraq.

The seventy troops will be welcomed at a ceremony featuring family and supporters at Boyd County High School in Ashland.

It's the second tour of duty for the soldiers from the 396th Engineer Company, 478th Battalion. They're already on U.S. soil and will arrive in Ashland by bus.

Welcome home and thanks so much for all you do to keep us safe here at home. This country has been so blessed with people like you who put yourselves in danger to fight our enemies. If this great land loses its courage to fight for our freedoms, I believe we will cease to exist as the land of the free and the home of the brave. Again, thank you all so very much! May God bless you!
