Army Reserve Unit Returns Home

The 478th Combat Engineer Battalion returned home Thursday. Seventy soldiers went home to Ashland, the rest of the Battalion were greeted in Fort Thomas.

This was the Battalion's second tour in Iraq. They left almost a year ago.

Their mission was to clear bombs from the roads in Iraq. We're told they found and disabled more than 160 roadside bombs during their tour.

Residents in both towns welcomed home the troops with flags, banners and posters supporting the soldiers.
