BARDSTOWN, Ky. (AP) - Police say a part-time drama coach at
Bardstown High School is accused of sexually inappropriate behavior
with a student and his wife faces an assault charge.
Bardstown Police Chief Charles Marksbury says Kevin Holladay was arrested earlier this week and charged with unlawful transaction
with a minor and misdemeanor sexual abuse. His wife, Marta, is a
teacher at the school and faces a misdemeanor assault charge after an alleged clash with the same student.
A call to attorney Bruce Reynolds, who represents Kevin Holladay, wasn't immediately returned Friday. It could not immediately be determined whether Marta Holladay had an attorney. There was no answer at a phone listing for a Kevin Holladay in Bardstown.
Bardstown Superintendent Brent Holsclaw says the Holladays have
resigned their positions.
Marksbury said Kevin Holladay remained in the Nelson County Jail
under a $26,000 bond Friday. His wife is free on bond.
