Child Disciplined For Fake Gun At School

Notes went home Wednesday with students at a Lexington Elementary School after a student was caught with a toy gun.

The principal of Millcreek, Lorriane Williams, tells 27NEWSFIRST a teacher spotted the student with the cap gun Tuesday as classes were being dismissed for the day. The toy was taken away and no one was in danger. The child is being disciplined by the school.

Principal Williams says toy guns are against the rules and parents are notified for the purpose of keeping them informed about the situation.
Williams says the letter was delayed because the toy was not discovered until the end of the day Tuesday.
