LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - An unusual scene played out during the afternoon rush hour Wednesday on a Kentucky interstate.

Kentucky State Police say the driver of a taxi led them on a high-speed chase.

Police say they tried to stop the driver on I-64 in Shelby County after getting reports he may have been drunk.

The driver wouldn’t stop and led police into Louisville.

Eventually, police say they used a maneuver to stop the driver, who’s been identified as 53-year-old Mark Olsen of Louisville.

Police arrested Olsen and charged him with wanton endangerment, DUI, speeding, reckless driving, resisting arrest, fleeing and evading, and having no insurance.

Olsen is being held in the Shelby County Detention Center.
