COVINGTON, Ky. (AP) - An Ohio woman charged with running a national prostitution ring posted $25,000 bond in $1, $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100 bills.
Bryan Williams brought the cash to the U.S. District Courthouse in Covington on Friday to get his wife, Yong Williams, out of federal custody.
Yong Williams of Cheviot, Ohio, had been at the Boone County jail since she was arrested May 20 on charges of driving prostitutes across state lines and laundering money earned from prostitution.
U.S. Postal Inspector Kathryn Woliung said in an affidavit that Yong Williams, 50, told undercover agents that she drove 40,000 miles in seven months, delivering Korean women to massage parlors across the nation that were fronts for brothels.
