Neighbors say they were startled by the impact that left the Ford pick up truck teetering over a guardrail, in front of the Claiborne Farm along Highway 627 in Bourbon County.

"All of a sudden, I heard a crash when I saw the truck flipped up in the air", said neighbor Franklin Conyers.

Paris Police say that a preliminary investigation by KSP confirmed the truck crossed both lanes, dropped off the side of the road, struck a tree and then rolled several yards until its final stop.

Conyers says he spoke to one of the passengers shortly after the wreck. "He was telling me he tried to get them to stop going so fast but couldn't get them to stop", he said.

"One passenger is deceased, one was airlifted, another was transported by ground and the fourth is still on the scene with minor injuries", said Officer Shain Stevenson with Paris Police.

The names of the passengers have not yet been released. Police are still investigating if speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
