The cold front is now working into eastern Kentucky with winds gusting to near 40mph at times. Temps have dropped into the 30s behind the front and we've had reports of sleet and snow mixing with the rain in Lexington.
The Pulaski County Sheriff's Department says a very long, intense investigation landed 15 people in jail. Police say the suspects are charged in a burglary ring in the Lake Cumberland region.
Police say the group hit homes in eight communities in Pulaski County taking items worth a total of $45,000. We're told among the items stolen were video games, jewelry, weapons, computers, and T.V.s.
We're told the two men considered as the group's 'ring leaders' are Josh Brolin and Jeremy Reynolds.
Police say the suspects would sell the stolen items and use the money for drugs or other illegal activities.
Many of the break-ins happened last winter and spring at summer homes when the victims were in their permanent homes out of the state.
Police say the long process of returning the many items recovered has begun.
