Hundreds of new jobs are coming to Pulaski County, all thanks to an insurance company.
Safe Auto Insurance is making plans to build a new contact center near Somerset.
The business will open in the Valley Oak Technology Complex at first before moving to a more permanent facility later.
Economic development officials say the company will employ more than 260 people.
"Half of these jobs are going to be insurance sales agents, $40,000 plus a year," Carrol Estes from the Economic Development Foundation said. "Another half are sales reps, $25,000 to $30,000. It's the best recruiting company we've gotten in the last year or two."
Safe Auto plans to start interviewing and hiring people within a month.
