A deadly motorcycle crash in Boyle County took the life of a Mercer County man over the weekend.

According to WHIR radio in Danville, 71 year-old Robert Roemisch's body was discovered in a ravine 24 hours after he crashed off Battlefield Road.

His landlord reported him missing after he apparently went to a gas station to buy a carton of cigarettes, but never made it home.

Investigators think Roamisch ran off the road, went through a fence and flipped down the embankment.

Police say he was not wearing a helmet.
