FRANKLIN, Ky. (AP) - Interstate 65 traffic near the Kentucky-Tennessee state line was shut down for about 4 hours early Wednesday by a traffic crash.
Simpson County Sheriff's Deputy Mark Spitzer said a northbound
tractor-trailer rig jumped a retaining wall about 2 a.m. CDT and struck two southbound rigs.
Spitzer said no one was killed, but two truck drivers were sent by helicopter ambulance to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
The highway had been closed in both directions, but was reopened
shortly before 6 a.m.
The crash occurred near mile marker 6 at Franklin, Ky.
