It was a race against time in Jessamine County where organizers worked in the early morning hours to get everything back up that strong storms tore down at the Ichthus music festival site.
The storms that rolled through the bluegrass early Tuesday morning leveled dozens of large tents that had been set up over the past few weeks. Organizers said it was some of the worst storm damage they'd seen.
Workers were at the site, working through the night, trying to get everything back into place. Everything was back up and running before festival-goers started arriving Wednesday.
The Ichthus festival kicks off Wednesday night with a free concert; the music continues through Saturday. Organizers expect 20,000 people over the three day period.
