Comair Crash Victim's Legacy Lives On

Thursday the family of a Comair Flight 5191 victim dedicated a second Habitat for Humanity home in his honor. Pat Smith was one of 49 people killed in the August 2006 crash. Smith was a dedicated volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. He was on his was to help rebuild homes for victims of hurricane Katrina when the plane went down at Blue Grass Airport.

"The number of lives he touched, you couldn't count them, so this is just one part of what pat is all about," Pat's brother, Pete said.

With the help of the U of L football team, the Smith family began construction on another Pat Smith house. The first Pat Smith home was dedicated last July.
