Our winter storm is shattering records. 17.1" of snow fell in Lexington and that's the most ever recorded during a two day snowstorm. We've had 32.1" of snow in the last 17 days.
Our first full day of spring finishes off our work week and boy will it be nice! Gusty winds out of the south at 10-20 mph with gusts even higher than that will blow some much nicer air in here this afternoon. Mostly sunny will be the call with temperatures in the mid to upper 60s! This will be the best feeling day in the 7-day forecast.
The weekend doesn't look as good. Saturday will feature a few showers during the morning hours, but the afternoon looks mostly dry with highs in the 60s. Come Sunday the front will be all the way through, which means cooler air filters in place. This will leave us with temperatures in the lower to mid 40s with a possible mix of rain/sleet/snow south of I-64 with light accumulations possible.
Heading into next week the chilly air does not let up. Add that cold air with some moisture and you have a chance at snow on Tuesday with possible accumulations.
