KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Police want to find three people who broke into a pharmacy and stole pills. The burglary happened at Stephanie's Down Home Pharmacy on Master Street on Sunday morning. Investigators say one of them popped the pharmacy door lock then two others in masks went inside with large bins and start filling them with pills. We're told the third person acted as a look out. The Knox County Sheriff's Office says the thieves were only in the building for three minutes, but got away with $200,000 in pills.
"It was planned ahead of time. From what we can tell in the video. They backed up. We believe they went towards Corbin," says Derek Eubanks with the sheriff's office. Investigators say, at this time, they have no suspects. They believe the car is a white Chrysler 300.
"All had gloves on, so no prints," says Eubanks. "We have little to go on, so we're relying on the public to help us."
The pharmacy owners are offering a $500 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction. Anyone with tips should call the Knox County Sheriff's Department at 606-546-3181.
