Man killed in Shelby County motorcycle crash

SHELBY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A man was killed after police say he crashed his motorcycle Wednesday night.

Kentucky State Police say the crash happened just before 8 p.m. on Aiken Road, about four miles west of Simpsonville.

Police say 40-year-old Steven A. Ball, of Crestwood, lost control in a curve, went off the road, and hit a road sign.

Police say Bell was pronounced dead at the scene. They think excessive speed played a role in the crash.

Investigators say Bell was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
