Investigators are still working to determine the cause of a house fire in Anderson County.
Someone driving down Long Road, just outside Lawrenceburg, noticed the fire around three Wednesday morning and contacted dispatchers.
When the first fire crews arrived at the home, it was fully engulfed and partially collapsed.
Fire officials say their first priority was to make sure no one was inside the home. Neighbors told fire officials they thought someone was inside the house and crews worked quickly to put out the flames in the area where people would have been sleeping.
The homeowner showed up later and told fire officials that no one was inside.
The home was a total loss.
State arson officials were called to the scene to investigate.
