LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Thursday night was full of surprises for the Dunbar High School band.
After a concert at the school, a representative from Macy's surprised band members by telling them they would be a part of the 2014 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
"We put in a lot of work," band member Celeste Rehmel said. "Our band camp starts three weeks before school does, and this is just proof that if we work hard, you can achieve things."
This will not be the first time the Dunbar band has marched in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The other time was in 2007.
