General showers will be the main action over the next few hours. A few could remain on the strong to severe side in eastern parts of Kentucky.
Emergency crews were called out on Wednesday afternoon to a deadly plane crash in Washington County.
It happened around 1:30pm.
The plane took off on Wednesday morning with two people on board, but we're told the pilot dropped off his passenger at Blue Grass Airport in Lexington, earlier in the day.
We're told sometime after that stop, the plane sent out distress calls to the Louisville Airport, which directed the aircraft to the Lebanon-Springfield Airport In Washington County, near the Marion County line.
Witnesses say the plane was on fire as it attempted to land, but the pilot didn't line up the plane properly, and it crossed over the runway and skidded off into a field.
Airport officials say the plane was not local but had stopped at the Lebanon-Springfield Airport before.
The pilot has been identified as Dan Chris Hutson II.
The investigation is being handled by the FAA.
