Hundreds of workers had to evacuate a Lexington factory Thursday night after a Hazmat scare.
It happened at the Square D plant on Mercer Road. Twelve workers had to be treated for light headedness. One worker was taken to the hospital to be checked-out.
Plant officials say workers had been laying acryllic cement in part of the factory and the fumes created the hazard. Fire officials got everyone out of the building and ran a test on the chemicals.
Fire officials say some fresh air was the best treatment for most of the employees. Square D sent everyone home for the day as a precaution.
