Another service member from Kentucky has died fighting the War on Terror.

Captain Eric Terhune of Lexington was killed in Afghanistan Thursday.
Captain Terhune was a helicopter pilot for the Marines. Military officials say he was killed in action while conducting a security patrol. It was his 3rd tour of duty in 10 years.

Capt. Terhune's family said he is remembered for his love for God, his family, and his country.

"He was in the very best sense of the word, an officer, and a gentleman and a patriot," said David Terhune, Eric's Uncle.

Funeral services are set for Saturday, June 28th at Anchor Baptist in Lexington. He will be buried at Camp Nelson Cemetery.

My thoughts and prayers are with this family. I am so sorry for your loss. I want to know how many men and women we have to lose before all this stops. My twin brother is in Afghanistan right now, and I dread that we will hear this news one day. I am sorry you all had to hear it. But I thank God everyday for the people that stand up and fight for oour country!

How many highways do you think we will name after him? He deserves it and more but the politicians do not. How many would like some rules go govern the naming or remaming of highways.
