Two candidates withdraw from Georgetown presidential search

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WKYT) - Georgetown College is starting its search for a new president over after two finalists have withdrawn from consideration.

The candidates who withdrew are Former Lexington Mayor Jim Newberry and Jason Rogers.

According to the presidential search committee, both withdrew for personal and professional reasons.

The committee voted Thursday to renew the search immediately by conducting a second round of interviews with existing applicants.
