Three men face charges in Southern Kentucky, after police discovered an elaborate dog fighting operation.
The Laurel County Sheriff's Department was called to a home on Adams Lane early Wednesday morning. When they arrived, they found a pit bull and a stray dog, both severely injured.
Sheriff's deputies charged Joe Lewis the third, his father Joe Lewis, Junior and a family friend, Dalton Brewer, with animal cruelty.
Investigators also found evidence that 67 other dogs had been involved in fights at the home, some owned by national dog fighting rings.
