He's appeared in dozens of films and TV shows. Now, actor Sonny Landham says he's running for U.S. Senate.
The northeastern Kentucky resident says he's running as a candidate in the Libertarian party.
Landham says he'll focus solely on the economy if elected. He says Congress has done nothing to solve the problem of energy prices and he's talking solutions.
"What we have to do is drill, drill everywhere there is oil: in the United States, and the U.S. border. We have to take that oil and not let it be exported out of the United States," Landham said at a press conference on Wednesday afternoon.
Landham made an unsuccessful bid for the Republican nomination for Kentucky Governor in 2003.
