LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - Louisville police say they have identified the mother of a baby whose body was found inside a department store restroom and that she is cooperating with authorities.
WAVE-TV says police have determined that the baby was born inside a restroom at the store.
Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Larry Carroll says it's not yet known whether the baby was born dead. The cause of death hasn't been determined.
Police say the baby girl appeared to be full-term and healthy.
Police were called to Kohl's department store in southern Jefferson County around 5:45 p.m. Thursday.
