LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A jury in Louisville has found a 17-year-old not guilty in the death of his stepbrother.
A Jefferson County Circuit Court jury deliberated all afternoon Friday before returning a verdict around 8 p.m. EDT.
Prosecutors contended Joshua Young was involved in the 2011 fatal beating of 14-year-old Trey Zwicker, while defense attorneys say Young's father, Joshua Gouker, was the sole killer. Gouker has already pleaded guilty to murder in the boy's death.
Young was also found not guilty of tampering with physical evidence.
