22 year old cold case still under investigation

BELL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - It's now been 22 years since an eastern Kentucky woman was killed, and tonight her mother fears there may never be justice in the case.

On August 16, 1990, 21 year old Jennifer Bailey went missing while running in the Pine Mountain State Park in Bell County.

Police found her dead, a few days later, they say she was strangled.

Police have never made any arrests in the case Jennifer's mother Janice Bailey says the last 22 years have been miserable.

"I just get in bad shape. I don't want to do nothing. I can't eat it's awful. Its like going to hell and never coming back I guess is how you would say it," Janice Bailey said.

State Police in Harlan say they're still investigating the murder.
