HENDERSON, Ky. (AP) - The plastic plant supervisor who was
killed when an employee fired on co-workers with a .45-caliber
pistol was remembered as a man who "went the extra mile" for his
The Louisville Courier-Journal reported the line to pay respects
to 30-year-old Kevin Taylor stretched on for close to an hour after
his funeral Saturday in Henderson. Taylor was among five workers
killed at Atlantis Plastic early Wednesday by 25-year-old Wesley
Neal Higdon before he turned the gun on himself.
The Rev. Nicky Davis said the beloved father and husband cared
for his employees so much he would go "as far as to given them
food and money during rough spots."
Police say Higdon shot Taylor outside the plant after an
argument, then went inside and shot and killed four others before
turning the gun on himself.
