McCain Stumps In Louisville To Raise Campaign Funds

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Republican John McCain visited Louisville to raise money for his presidential campaign. The tally from his appearance was $2 million.

McCain criticized anew his Democratic challenger Barack Obama's withdrawal from the public financing system and said, "Senator Obama's word cannot be trusted."

The Arizona senator was at a closed to the public fundraiser at the Kentucky International Convention Center in downtown Louisville on Saturday evening.

Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell was also scheduled to attend the fundraiser.

The proceeds were reported to be split between McCain's campaign and the Kentucky Republican Party.
