A Boyle County couple, charged with starving their children, are scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday afternoon.

Charles and Virginia Holsinger face charges of neglect and criminal abuse.

Police say their boys, ages 9 and 12, were taken to the hospital after they were found to be malnourished. The children are now in state custody.

The Holsingers have already pleaded not guilty to the charges against them. Their hearing is set for 1:30 Wednesday afternoon in Danville.

Okay, it is my understanding from previous press releases that there was enough hard evidence for charges and for removal of the children. The court date is July 2 at 1:30. BUT there has to be enough evidence to make the charges "stick" in order to indict. Once there is an indictment, then there is a court date to determine guilt or innocence. So, the court date of July 2 is important to the story, was there enough evidence to indict?
